My working life, as a qualified Accountant, spanned several sectors but was mainly spent in the finance world – particularly banking and insurance. I retired some 10 years ago and almost immediately joined my local Chorley & South Ribble Crossroads as a Trustee, a position I still hold today but with the expanded Crossroads Care North West.

For obvious reasons my main contribution to Crossroads Care North West  is on the finance side, a crucial area at any time but never more so than in today’s economic climate, but I do try to play a full part in the strategic/operational side of the organisation.

I have been married for many years and we have two sons, one of whom lives locally but the other is in Melbourne which gives us a good excuse to visit Australia every other year.

On a personal level, I try to keep as fit as possible by walking, playing tennis and going to the gym. My other main pastime is enjoying and indulging my two beautiful grandchildren.
